Or any other VP guru!
A couple of years ago I changed the cone clutch in one of my DPE sterndrives.
According to the attached parts bulletin that I have just stumbled across, I should have removed the spring and washers from the vertical shaft.
I’ve only done about 20 hours since the change and have noticed that it does take a bit of effort to move from reverse back to neutral.
Am I likely to have done some damage to the clutch and need to replace it or can I just dissassemble and remove the spring at my next lift out?
Thanks in anticipation
