I’ve sailed to the UK from Australia and a mix of filial duties and Covid means I’m still here.
So, let’s get into a big maintenance cycle I thought.
Now I have a couple of wind generators. A sleek sexy flowing AirX and an Aerogen.
I loved that Aerogen, a great British design. Who needs that wind tunnel tested tail of the AirX when a sheet of steel at the end of a bit of tube works so well.
But sadly after 20 odd years, the Aerogen died.
But happily, one of the members of this parish sold me a 2nd hand Aero4Gen, which I finally went to fit a few months back.
But sadly, typically, my pole is 1.5” diam and the Aero4Gen has a 1” fitting.
So I am trying to track down a “Marine Adapter #761”.
Zylem/Jabsco, who used to be the Aerogen agent in the UK, gave it away a while back and all the old parts etc went to a French mob, ATMB Marine.
They have not been very helpful, indeed spectacularly unhelpful, you can almost hear the Gallic shrug over the phone. J'abandonne avec eux.
I think I’ve pretty much exhausted all the places that might have a 761 in the UK and Oz, so wondering if anyone, anywhere in the world, might know a local company that might be able to help me.
Or, who knows, you might say “Hey, finally found a use for that 761 I’ve had on my shelf for years”.
So this is a last gasp attempt to get a real 761. Next it’ll be down to one of the local metal shops to get one fabricated.
Thanks P
