Hi all,
After a hickup over the winter the boat is now sold so restarted the hunt for a new one. Targa 52 is still the favorite but the ones still around don't really seem interesting price whise. Been looking at some late Princess V55's. Ticks all the boxes, 3 cabins, shafts and preferably D12's.
Just the tender garage is a pain that you have to lift the tender out. My main gripe is that the dash looks dated. That said the budget left would allow me to completely refurbish it and buffer for any engine issues not sorted.
Have picked up some comments online suggesting seakeeping is not as good as the T52. Any comments on this? Also as opposed to the T52 it has a bulkhead between the engines and the lazarette so probably marginally safer but less easy engine acess?
Any other things to watch of for with a V55?
A 3 cabin hardtop sub 200K seems out of reach unfortunately unless we go flybridge.
Thoughts welcome!
Rob
