Very nice boat the V52. Only snag with powerful u/w lights is that you can see what's in the water as you will see from this totally realistic shot:

I don't think there are any sharks in Singapore

Yes I've found the touchscreens on Raym E140w and Garmin both work well. The re-draw (as you zoom) is faster on Garmin and Garmin is generally slightly better at the general function of the touchscreenDo u think that the touch screen works well ie for Raymarine c vs e series?
Make sure yopu're sitting down when you hear the price. Then remember the WB below is about £8k GBP (fully rigged, with power trim on the engine, ex VAT) and weighs 220kg not 360 or so like the Williams 325- if the price is reasonable will go for the Williams !
For a 52-er, it's gotta be 3 or 4 imho.any advice between 2 vs 3.
Actually, I never heard of a Princess fitted with a fire hose system.
Wow, you retrofitted it, I suppose? You have now, mine has one.
Otoh, I'm afraid the OP will be disappointed by the flybridge accessories, on his V52...I assume flybridge fridges etc come as standard - the one on our P42 is supremely efficient to the point where you have to make sure you don't freeze your drinks.

Great choice of boat!
Can only echo jfm on the Garmin. I went with the 7012 and it is so intuitive to use I have hardly needed to look at the user manual. They have really upped their game. That said I haven't seen the Garmin & Raymarine for a side by side comparison but I wouldn't hesitate on the Garmin. Princess always seem to favour Raymarine by default but I found that Garmin are keen to get their gear on Princess boats so if you find a decent Garmin dealer you should be able to get a deal.
Lumi's are great. I went for 3 x-72. Not everyone seems to appreciate them (on this forum at least!) but they are a great talking point and the kids love them.
Enjoy!
Jon
First of all congratulations on your choice of boat....we chose them as both a manufacturer and dealer network.
I'm not sure about Singapore (but strangely enough might be taking a cruise out of there over Christmas and the new year), ...
Re: the prop(s), that sounds like a huge chunk of money, you'd surely be investigating repair as a first option should the need arise.
With a Williams tender might you not suffer parts and service problems, certainly when compared to a popular outboard of which there will be loads in service locally and a healthy dealer network.
We have a bow wash-down with the fitting mounted in the chain locker. The hose pushes in and it all works off the fresh water ... I suspect a standard fit, (in fact I think the bow wash was standard?).
I can see the sense in a non plumbed in ice maker but I'd still have one fitted were it me. ...came of it.
I assume flybridge fridges ... your drinks.
I also agree that fixed speed bow thrusters are fine....I've never missed not having one.
Anyway, good luck and enjoy your new boat !

IMHO..... You got to go for the Lumishore lights. The build quality is superb. I went for three X72 thru hull colour change at the rear and two X36 colour change flush fit on the side (towards the rear to give an al round effect). The ability to change the colours and control it is fantastic.
You will find them an excellent company to do business with....
Remember they are not to everyone's liking so expect some stick.......)
Thanks alot! Will definitely try out the 7012 vs the E/C 120/140. Fortunately both dealers are quite active here in town.
Will ask Princess to fit the Lumis then. Seems like everyone is advising to go for them ! What is the reason that the Lumis are not appreciated by everyone?
There are some people who think that underwater lights are too bling and cause light pollution or whatever. Don't worry about it if you fancy them go for it you won't be disappointed! (I've got 3 on the back of my V42, it probably could have taken 4 so I would defo suggest you go for 4 as you will have a bit more beam).
The other thing to check if you intend to do a lot of anchoring (what are tides like in that part of the world?) is maybe a slightly bigger anchor than the spec. I'm no anchor expert but I have been told by people who think they are that I should upgrade my spec one with 5-10kg more (though need to check what the windlass can handle).
Hi and many congrats on the V52.
I know two people who have just taken delv. of theirs. Fab boat IMHO.
I will ask what they would spec differently - one has the rear awning the other not.
It seems important to have this as it allows the rear seat to be used when covers are on - and of course provides shade which is, maybe more, important where you will use the V52.
