Hello All,
I am a fresh owner of a 2015 Princess V39.
This is my first serious boat, so no experience except a smaller and lighter 8m boat with outboards.
I have been using the V39 for 2 months now and having covered more than 1000 miles all along Cote d'Azur, Northern Italy, Corsica and Sardinia.
The boat navigate wonderfully except for a tendency to lean on port side when on plane.
This is regardless any side wind or sea current. It is ALWAYS the case.

I correct this by lowering the port side flap between 30 and 40%.

Is this normal or do I have some misbalance on the boat that I should further investigate?

Maybe the leg trim gauges , one is not calibrated .So even though they are identical on the dash , ones a bit far out causing it to need further flap as you described .
Assuming S Strokes point it sits as far as the eye can see pretty level in the berth .Use the AF line to eye ball .Or put a ball on the cockpit table see if it rolls anywhere ?
 
I will test with a ball as on the eye it is difficult to see. Good point.
By looking at the water line on the hull, I could say that the port side is maybe 1cm lower.
But it does not look anything dramatic
 
Jump in @ anchor with a mask to see if both legs are kinda parallel .
Look @ the trim rams to see if equally extend ie both 6 cm of shiny ram extended .
If they are then the gauges and ram set up are true .

I can’t see 1 cm worth of tilt at the berth would make a difference when on the plane , the hydrodynamic forces of the various lifting surfaces would burry that .Certainly not requiring one flap down 30/40;% to balance .
 
No experience with boats with legs but could prop torque cause this? My single on shaft (right handed prop) lists to port slightly at WOT.
 
Is your wife's suitcase kept on the port side?

It doesn't sound right but maybe someone else with the same boat can confirm it for sure.

Have a look at the trim tabs when at rest, press the buttons to retract them both fully, then get in the water and see if they are actually both fully retracted.

They might extend fully when stationary.
At WOT underway several tons per square inch forcing em back up . Lack of/ low fluid or lack of hydraulic pressure causing one trim tab to come back up. ?

Do you have the Volvo system?
 
Do keep in mind that the deck seating on a V39 is all on the port side. It doesn’t take many people to unbalance the boat, particularly on a sporty hull like the V39.

I am constantly tweaking the trim on our P50 as people move around.
