Princess or Ferretti , what boat would you choose?

will you have any work to do to get her up tp spec for ypour particular needs?

she is sold as in perfect condition, no work needed,
the only thing I would have to do is adding a scuba dive compressor, and some fixings for the air tanks,
but I think that I will skip that sort of usage on such a nice vessel :)

lets wait what the surveyor tells us first

Ah but what about that hydrolic platform for the RIB

Congratulations Bart she looks stunning. Good job you didn't hand over a large deposit for Nefertati!
One question, how do you plan on getting divers down on to the bathing platform? That ladder looks pretty steep.

She really is a lovely ship Bart. We're all jumping the gun (naturally) on survey, but I hope the survey goes well.

I think it's posher than that LJS. Divers descend the steps then have all their gear brought to them. So you call up the Captain, "Please bring me my tank".
I'll get me coat

Actually was thinking that perhaps they get kitted up on the flybridge and then get lowered into the water by the crane.........

Any other suggestions before Bart appears?

No-one suffers any pain on "Mr. W's up-market underwater experience".

Guests will be run from the mother-ship in style, aboard the purpose fitted Karnic 26 (renamed "Reef Adventurer"), to some of the finest dive locations in the Med., where experienced instructors will assist in making your holiday a memorable experience.

Too much? :D

You may well be right LJS but the problem is there is no Eagles lyric adaptable to that method. Hence no-one has used that method for ages. We haven't used that method here since 1969.

LOL, considering that your question was about "getting down", I suppose that the easiest way will be through the transom door on stbd side. Just extend the passerelle 1m or so, make a first step on it and the second in the water, job done.
But I must admit that when returning onboard, maybe after a long and tiring dive, I would appreciate someone in the cockpit picking up the gear, as jfm suggests.

The fore deck looks a good, workable, flat surface, which will be nice when the sea gets rolly and wet from spray, opposed to some of the more 'rounder' and narrow offerings from other builders.
Yep, and the vertical capstan on the horizontal windlass is a nice touch.
There's something to be said about the lines arrangement, though.... :)

what is SSB ?
is that the seperate levers for throttle and gear ?
Haha, you're pulling my leg Bart, aren't you...?
I guess she must have plenty of toys in the dashboard, so you're forgiven for not noticing, but judging from the antennas she must have a single-sideband (SSB) radio, which is in an entirely different league compared to the VHF you already know, for various reasons - one being the range, that is measured in thousands rather than tens of miles.
Mind, on an IT registered vessel (if you're planning to keep her IT registered) a specific license is required, if you're planning to use such radio for other than emergencies.

Well the last thing I remember I was heading for the transom door.....

What? To find the passage back to the Karnic you had before?
’Relax,’ said the forum, we are programmed to receive. You can checkout of big boat ownership any time you like, but you can never leave

Up ahead in the distance I saw a navigation light, our heads needed emptying so we had to berth for the night

On a dark Med seaway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of MAN diesels, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
We were hove-to off Corsica;
I heard the ships bell
And I was thinking to myself,
’this could be heaven or this could be hell’
Then she lit up a lumishore x72 and she showed me the way
There were voices on channel 16,
I thought I heard them say...

Cheers

You win Jimmy, so much knowledge of 70's song lyrics....also a big Bee Gees fan from memory, are you not? (from a previous post of a calm Lyme Bay crossing)

Tee-hee, you'll be unsurprised to hear that google was my friend on that one...

... and yes, I am very partial to a bit of 70's disco, more than one forumite has had the reluctant pleasure of 'enjoying' a bit of Sheila B Devotion et al at about 110db while gently idling along at 35kts.

Btw - BartW - Bleu Angel looks very nice, well done that man. Best of luck with the survey.

Cheers
Jimmy
