Hi I have a princess 360 which I got last year I am up-grading my chartplotter on the fly bridge and want to connect it to the sea talk down stairs. but I cant find how to get the cable down . does anybody know which way the cables run.

No.

But on my P385 the cabling runs down the ‘B’ pillar. I mean the pillar between the right helm side window and the first main cabin window, if that makes sense!

It comes down from under the throttle area, behind the corner of the sofa in the saloon, runs behind the ply panelling of the sidewall under the sofa, and then goes up the b pillar before emerging behind the right hand side of the fly bridge coaming..

It takes the same route as the hydraulic steering lines.

If you have an access panel under the upper helm, following the wiring and you’ll see it disappear off down the right side of the coaming.

I use the term right as my boat has the lower helm on the right. If the P360 has the lower helm on the left, substitute left with right in the description above!

Good luck feeding new cabling in though - I had to cut out the ply panelling under the sofa and bugger about with a wire mouse / fish, coat hanger, bits of string taped to the new wires etc etc....

Ply panelling now screwed back for easier access in the future.

thank you for your reply . A friend of mine has a princess 410 he said the same thing as yourself . but on my princess 360 the B pillar has you call it doesn't seem thick enough for any cables to pass through. ive pulled the sofa out but can't see any cables there. but a plywood panelling. I'm guessing now that the cables are going up the pillar on the side of the patio doors but I haven't found any evidence of this. I think I will have to do the same as you and cut out some of plywood panelling. there is a small access panel to the side of the helm seat but a apart from the cables you expect to see I can't see any cables that are going to the flybridge but thanks Rosssavage for your help

Remove the sofa back cushions first - there may be another access hole where the sofa ‘bends’. May help trace the routing....

Sofa backs are held on with a couple of screws - pull the cushions off the seat base to find them :)

Wiring up to the flybridge helm goes up the B pillar the wide one that separates the 2 side windows, all the 4 shift cables are in there , behind the side settee you will find the autopilot computer and possibly vhf radio module, there are plywood hatched in the grp moulding .

thank you volvopaul after investigating further today I took down the instrument panel above the wheelhouse helm luckily there was a duct with a spare pull cord going up to the flybridge and another with a spare cord going down to the area you was mentioning behind the sofa which I found behind a plywood panel.so from there I should get to the down stairs chartplotter , so all is well but the only draw back is I'm going to need about 15metres of cable.
