Apol if I'm not following your Q properly, but the normal set up is for the pressure switch and the master on/off sw to be in series. Then you turn the master sw on when you are on the boat, and the pressure sw does the rest. I'm sure you knew all that

But are you saying the "override" switch is in parallel to the pressure sw, so that when you switch the override on the pump runs continuously? If so, it sounds an odd set up, presumably Princess thort the pressure switches must be unreliable. In which case you could just ignore it, or rewire to current standards whereby the pressure and master sw are in series, praps?

No, 'override' switch is in series so has to be on for pressure switch to work. Probably wasnt making myself very clear -been a long day today!
I can understand it being a 'master' switch but cant get my head round the use of the word 'override' which implies some sort of additional function. Other than that the system seems to work as it should with the pump's pressure switch cutting in the pump when the taps are opened.

JFM is bang on. I had a 32 for five years and had the same thought. At first I had the wiring checked thinking there was more to it, but no. Just ignore the red glowing warning type lamp that stays on all the time .
