Am about to look at a boat described as a 25' Drywood Prima Ballerina.
It is a hard chine, ply construction, well equipped with good 4 wheel road trailer, but no outboard - ( designed with outboard well ? ).
I am looking for a first boat - in need of some general refurb ( I am a carpenter ).
Trying to find info on this class - not much luck on line.
Any opinions most welcome. BTW the asking price is 650 UK pounds ono. out of the water.
Is this a Robert Tucker design ?

About to take up boating ?
Edited by nemodreams on Sat May 4 19:37:46 2002 (server time).

Theres enough prima ballerinas on here already! and thats just the guys! On a more serious note, I don't know the boat, but I'm sure there will be someone on here who does, noit much to say about hardchine plywood boats, some are wondefully built others total crap, depends on who built her, one thing, they are easy peasy to repair, especially for a carpenter! Welcome to the forum and the hobby/pastime! Good luck and fair winds.

Hi
There was a design called a Ballerina, Don't remember the Prima bit though.
If it's the same. it's like a larger version of a Silhouette with a very distinctive double or "powder horn" sheer. They were well thought of in the 1960/70s but getting a bit long in tooth now.
Probably qualify as a classic.

It is a Robert Tucker design, a bit longer and sleeker looking than the ordinary Ballerinas. I have only ever seen one, but I am sure you could get some info from Tucker Designs.
