Dont know anything about Moody prices but having just sold - & about to buy again - & based on what I was offered & finally accepted I think broker's prices are somewhat OTT.
Got very little interest at original Brokers advised price; dropped to just over 80% of that & got reasonable interest; accepted 75% of original ask - 90% of realistic ask. Thats for a well-specified boat; newish pentex sails 3 & 4 yr old, radar, 5 yo instruments all linked, re-rigged, good order, no osmosis etc.
So I would look at all the relevant prices; get a feel for that boats asking price/condition etc & make a low offer to start with - you can always come up - & it's probably a buyers market at the moment. (I was offered under 60% of original ask at one stage)
My 1995 moody 44 is on the market for £119,950 in Malta with no interest. I am guessing she would sell quickly for £100K, but I dont need to sell her that badly.
