Pressurised water system issues

Murv.
If you do oik the pump out of the system for inspection,in addition to the more obvious in-line water filters there is frequently a small little mesh filter secreted away in the inlet pipe flange on pump body.
Probably designed to prevent large lumps of crud entering pump.
A boater of our aquaintance replaced and junked a perfectly good pump.
On later inspection the mesh filter was blocked with chalky deposits, a simple tap dislodged them all and pump functioned normally afterwards.

Thanks all, the system is now fixed :)

Sadly I can't report exactly how it was sorted for anybody else's benefit, but...

Bumped into OG on the pontoon with insufficient time to hide... Who told us the tale above.
Removed the pump, there is no small internal gauze inside, but there is an inline cylinder with a larger gauze. This had a very small amount of Gunk in, so washed it out and wiped off the O ring seal.
Next, stripped down the pump (shurflo) and was met with whatever witchcraft is used inside to pump the water. Gave it a wipe down, refitted everything and tightened all the connections.
Fired it back up just to buy some more thinking time... And it's all working properly.
So, maybe a combination of gunk and loose connections?
The pump looks relatively new, but is a somewhat weedy 7.5l/min model. Tempted as I am to upgrade it, it seems pointless at the moment as it's perfectly adequate.
Thanks again for all of the pointers.
