It's that time of year again, the boat insurance is due !

Does anyone have any experience good or bad of Premier Insurance, the premium offered seems fair, however what kind of service is likely ?

The problem with insurance is that "experience" means some disaster. Thank God I have no "experience".

I have the Premier insurance. Good rates, what little interactions there were were entirely satisfactory, decent coverage and terms. I'm sorry but that's about all you're likely to be able to find out. I have no complaints.

It would be worth checking whether they underwrite in their own name or whether the service si actually provided by another insurance company. If it is another company then I'd ask for their details then ask the question again :)

Look at the "marina cover"

When I looked at Premier last renewal time, the premium was pretty good. However, with Premier you are only exempt from paying an excess (and affecting your NCD) if your boat is damaged in one of Premier's marinas (of which there are eight). With my current insurer, Haven Knox Johnston, the same excess exemption applies if your boat is damaged in ANY marina. If you spend any time in marinas, it seems to me that Haven K J is better (so I stuck with them).

I'm insured with them i hope :D

had a phone call from them a few weeks ago asking why i did'nt renew my policy with them this year... Errr but i did.... no record on our system sir..... WHAT said I.... Oh sorry sir, you are, a glitch in the system... Bye.
