I have mentioned in a previous post about the delays in Madrid. I have a Belgium friend who is moored on the same pontoon but can only access his boat for occasional weekends and vacations. He is lifting out end of September and ordered his antifouling in Belgium to be delivered to the Marina office so obviously allowed plenty of time. I am not sure whether he was contacted by the office or checked online, Correos could not deliver as no one was available and they left the standard collection slip. I know as a fact that Correos frequently post these slips as most of the post is delivered using small scooters and the van may not be available and the odds are that you will have to collect from the office on the slip. Marnix contacted me via WhatsApp and I obviously sorted out his problem. To collect on his behalf I did not require the collection slip saving me a trip to the Marina, I expected the office to be in Los Abrigos as it was the most local office but was wrong. The collection office for Amarilla Golf is in San Miguel and is a pain to get to especially by bus. You will need a letter of authorisation, a copy of their ID or Passport and your own ID and the parcel Tracking number.
