Great place for a party, and we've had a few.

About a £1k a week, not bad if split between 4 couples.

Hi Alistairr
We have been on Holiday at the Inversnaid Hotel and on the ferry across the very beautiful Loch
Just like at home on the ferry at Horning! Here on the Norfolk Broads, but not so many bumps.
Greeting from us all in the low lands
Merry Xmas
Mike. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Hi Al, we are looking to come up there in the Easter week next year, what do you reckon to the Milarrochy Bay Campsite as a base for launching/ mooring the boat whilst there? nr. Balmaha on the eastern side of the loch.
Regards Dave

Hi Dave, I was going to suggest the same thing to Barry, if he got fed up of being on the Loch and wanted some salt water to play in. I think the campsite is Caravan & Camping Club. Only a few miles from Loch Lomond to Loch Long. Or could travel over the R&BT to Bute & the Kyles, but that would perhaps be better later in the year.

Turn left before you get there and go to the Clyde coast. Launch at Largs Marina. Just a few sea miles to lots of different places with decent facilities on your doorstep.

S'okay, I was having a laff. If I thought it was a real issue I'd have just let Kim know to sort out.

There's a small turn-off to the loch just before Duck Bay Marina on the West side... about three or four miles North of Balloch.
I have launched a ski-boat from the beach which is a mix of shingle and hard sand. You could probably locate it on an OS map and have a look. There was nothing else there apart from a couple of old sheds. Make your own judgement about whether you could get your boat in and security for car and trailer.
