Possible good newsfor the ecology of the Deben.

Discussing covid distancing with my Queenslander son. Advice there is to stay one surfboard apart. Presumably that's a longboard.

Using Mum's measure (she was a Yorkshire Exile), I reckon it about 6400,000,000 Yorkshire Puddings. I hope that helps you.
Very helpful, thanks. However was your calculation based on the small sized Yorshire Pudding made using a bun sized tray or the larger (about 4" dia) trays? I estimate the ratio of volumes of these two species of Yorkshire Puddings could be as much as between an Elephant and a Blue whale.

"bun sized"! "4" dia"! Oh no. You are addicted to social media. Only Snowflakes experience round Yorkshire Puddings. Proper (antient) Yorkshire Pudding should be retangular. I admit I made the calculation based on the Napoleon measurement rather than proper Imperial measurement but solely because some bizarre unexplanable reference of measure was made comment viz: a kilometre square etc. I consider one Yorkshire Pudding could be regarded as similar (or close enough) 300mm x 200mm x 25mm.

Yeap. But I never started the Napoleonic measurement.

Oh yea, well guess that on our East Anglian Coasts we measure any Napoleonic measurements by the distance between them Martello Towers ?

Tis a sort of early Metric System , them Martello Towers were each designed to repel Old Napoleonic Armys and Navys , guarenteed to give sucess {:-)#

Yeap. But I never started the Napoleonic measurement.
Not Napoleonic - Revolutionary! And actually very useful for navigation, because the original intention was that a metre would be 1 ten-millionth of the distance from the equator to the Pole; i.e. the distance from the Equator to the pole would be exactly 10,000 kilometres. They soon found that wouldn't work because the length of a degree of latitude varies with latitude, but the distance is still close enough for a lot of purposes - it's less than 2km off, so the error is less than 1 in 5,000.

With the digression into Napoleonic measure I thought I would check out how many barlycorns that might be and came across this.

"The barleycorn is a former English unit of length equal to ¹⁄₃ of an inch. It is still used as the basis of shoe sizes in English-speaking countries."

The yachty connection is that this might help you chose the correct size of yacht boot or shoe.;)

At a third of an inch I can't be bothered to work out what a standard pork pie is in barlycorns, but the chart of "Imperial and Customary Units" was quite interesting. Barleycorn (unit) - Wikipedia
