Portsmouth to Dover, another passage help request!

Light wind. That's a suprise. I dinghy sailed this afternoon and it was blowing a hoolie. The lampposts were bending. Dropped a bit now but still F5...

Anyway, just checked. 30 mins or so to go.

Single handed - really impressive. I'm guessing no wind vane steering? So good batteries and a lot of time hand steering? Respect.

Good autopilot, and some hand steering. It’s been a great trip to end a great summer holiday :)

A big thanks to you, John , Biggles,
rival and everyone else who makes this forum such a great place.

Tied up in Dover @ 21:30, 15 and 1/2 hours pontoon to pontoon.

Sounds like a cracking sail. Did you have Easterlies when you went the other way? If so can you let me know the next lottery numbers please.

I just checked, we had Northerlies.

Then, when it turned west, we had to tack over to Cherbourg from the IOW to be able to get to Torquay. Admittedly, it was the long way round, but we managed to book a table in the marina restaurant in Cherbourg, so it was worth it :)
