can anyone reccomend a supplier of the thin neting which used to go behind my port hole glass, you know, the stuff for keeping out the midgies,
any takers please.
regards, james
John Lewis do a fine netting which will work with elastic to hold them on - but you may also find the maker of your ports have plastic prefabricated bits that fit into the port.
Neater.
Hmm, I'm gonna get told off but what the hell. Flyscreen mesh comes in white, black or grey. As long as your ports are no larger than 2.3 mtrs in any dimension they can be done in one piece. It can be joined but looks pants.
How big are your ports? If I have some off cuts that will suffice you can have.
More than likely. Bits that size normally go straight in the bin as they're not much use to me as the average window is 10 times that size!!
I'd advise going for the grey/silvery colour. Black stops too much light and white shows the crap too much.
So its enough to do a port light 8x4 oval then?
