Porta potti "holding tank"?

It would be so practical, and what a convenience, to have a Porta Potti on board, but Oh, what a sacrilege it would be to remove the Baby Blake.

Removing it would mar the beauty of the yacht, never mind the loss in value, which is, after all, what really matters.

I mean, what would a plastic Porta Potti even look like on the boat, a blemish if ever there was one.

I see you live in the mud.....

I had a Porta Potti on my previous boat. No problems with using it as it was on a plinth to give it the right sitting height. It needed something to hold it in place, in my case, a removable bar across the top but a slightly recessed plinth would also do a job.

I am lucky in that my Corsair has two heads it used to have holding tanks both ends but in the Med it always smelt so I got rid of them. Now I have a PP in the aft heads and it is great in my home port Fleetwood they they have two emptying stations which is excellent. In Whitehaven at the moment mine needs emptying not sure if they have that facility going back to Fleetwood tomorrow so will do it then. It is much better than holding tanks at least it can be removed and emptied where as Tanks should not be pumped out in marina.

Whitehaven ..... was an interesting port for our 900ton ships ..... to get past the breakwaters - we had to have lines ready up fwd to throw out to pull bow round first one way - retrieve - throw out other side to then pull bow round other way ......

Used to load Phosphoric Acid there ....

Sorted = mind made up, thanks to helpful comments here. Going to remove existing head including seacocks. Fill and glass over the resulting holes, make a solid framework to hold the PP tight!!
I have a thetford pp in my boat. It sits in a recess, but I once saw the results of a pp coming loose in a caravan on a very bumpy road!
To avoid this i have a short web strap attached to the boat at each side of the recess and with one of those tug to tighten cam buckles.
It fits over the lower half of the PP before fitting the top half. Stays in place even when a spinnaker broach brings the mast to the horizontal position (with the boat still attached.)
In my local cruising area holding tanks are required so its a lot simpler than cutting holes in the boat and having seacocks and holding tanks and complicated plumbing to worry about.
Easy to take out and clean completely so never smelly, but if it did get that way, its cheap to replace.
