Port Louis according to MBY

I was v interested to see in MBY that Port Louis has been completely ripped down and rebuilt in the style of a baroque city, and now bears an uncanny resemblance to Menton. Or, it's another photo screwup and nobody was supposed to notice, and now I've gone and spoilt it....

I think you'll find that we didn't actually say that the place in the photo was Port Louis. We merely said that Port Louis was a popular lifting-in point on the French riviera. The photo of Menton is just there to illustrate what the French riviera is like. Ha!

ah, my mistake. Looking careful at this pic of menton, it does indeed say in a corner of the pic that port st louis is a good place, and indeed does not actually specify that the underlying image is of the same place, and i must apologise.

I suppose al this time i have been labouring under the impression that the captions actually referred to the pix, which is a bit hasty and presumptious of me, tsk.

Yes, but ask Tom about the pix that purported to be of Bermuda a couple of months ago. Used twice in the same issue no less!
