Port Haliguen, Quiberon Peninsula

Hello John,
I received the same email: is it a sort of "long term lease" (?) they are offering those berths, instead of renewable yearly contracts?

15 to 20 5ear contracts is my understanding. Too long even for a whippersnapper like me.

Port Haliguen is a marmite marina. Some seem to love it .

I have visited there a number of times. It was the most expensive to visit in Brittany. Access by road can be a nightmare with hours wasted trying to get on and off the little peninsula. I certainly would not want to have it as a long term home port. The village has a number of good eateries but replenishing supplies meant a long walk or Taxi ride. It was not as cheap as at Le Crouesty or La Trinite for instance where you have bigger and more competitive Hypermarches.

I suspect this is their problem in that most just use it as a transit marina due to its location? Maybe transit traffic has reduced and they now are looking to other income?

The port is still under heavy restructuring which began last year, a lot of dredging, building, etc, it might be the reason they are trying to diversify the types of contracts they offer.
Am right now in PH, works have been stopped for summer, their capacity for visiting boats is almost unchanged.
