Ferrari California ?

Apropos nothing at all, if you visit the Ferrari museum in Modena (well worth it), there are a number of outfits nearby who will sell you a short spin in a Ferrari. I visited a few years ago and drove a Ferrari California for 15mins for €40 and it was worth every Eurocent. The California has a slight reputation as a hairdressers car but it sounded gorgeous, looked fab and was pretty quick as well. Just the thing for tooling around Essex I would think;)

Surprised they're down to this sort of price now though

Ferrari California ?

I tried a California recently and liked it very much.

A boulevard cruiser by Ferrari standards but a car that you absolutely don't have to drive as if you stole it.

So someone overtakes you. Hey, their car is less bellisimo than yours.

Unfortunately for me, I'm not beautiful enough to avoid being seen as a middle-aged lounge-lizard in an open-top Ferrari and so...with great regret, it's not a car I could own.

To be fair bjb, a middle aged bloke in any convertible is never going to be a good look;)

Agreed, with the usual exception that proves the rule - spotted while approaching Bellagio...

more of a thread drift...

both look brilliant, but if I may, the upholstery colour here is a not really matching the body colour. Any reason for choosing it?
Not familiar with the vehicle, maybe was standard trim back then.

Where do you source the ali bits? Look immaculate!

cheers

V.

Hi Vas, trim to original spec, 1950's Britain was not colour coordinated!

and I guess by the ali bits you mean the bright work on the vehicle which is all steel and all original, just removed shot-blasted and re-galvanised and riveted back on (86 separate parts if you are counting...)

You are wanted Paul! if I start servicing my own engine what evidence would I have. Plus another set of vastly more experience eyes picks up things I don't see. All so important when you run a single engine boat, you will have a job servicing engines on any boat I own for as long as you want! Plus I do enjoy our chats..
