Popping next door for a couple of beers and some tapas.

I've been invited to nip down to Rosario in Fuertaventura tomorrow with a friend of mine on his yacht. Check out the new marina, sail back Tuesday. This is possible with the local restrictions in place.

What's nice about it is that the boat is ready, I've dropped off some kit onboard already and for once I can arrive onboard, drop the lines and go. Very liberating! Someone else has all the worries. Yay!

Ive been to a few Canarian marinas over the past couple of months. Everyone in the marina staff are keen to make sure reasonable precautions are taken. Wear masks, use hand sanitizer and keep distance. We wear masks when coming into the berth and the marineros who appears to 'assist' ? Will always have a mask on too. Some places you can book and pay for online so no need to goto an office. It's well thought out and everyone helps each other out.

It's a bit like being part of a crew of a big ship. ??

Passage complete. ?

Despite the nears miss of a late shower on the way back, good trip both ways. Of course the 22 nm downhill became 37 back, but we weren't in a hurry.

Rosario is very much a working town, nothing pretty, but the resourceful sailor can always find some kinda run ashore. Should you ever visit the municipal marina, it's basic, very well run and has a typical bar not far along the front. Basic but cheap.

Then we discovered an absolute gem of a restaurant, el bounty. Awesome food and very reasonable. Like! Will do this one again.
