poor service

I ordered some lights from these people http://marinestore.co.uk/ on sunday night and paid for them, I put in the notes section that I required the lights no later than Thursday this week and if there was a problem please call me on my mobile number I left with them

Well today still not received the lights so thought I would call them to check they had been posted only to be told oh sorry we don't keep those in stock and I would not get them till next week. I was furious and asked firstly why the website never said they were out of stock and also why the company had not called me to tell me there was a problem and the persons attitude on the phone was terrible he said it was not a live website and it was up to ME to make sure they had stock

I will never use this company again as I feel their service is very poor indeed they have left me in the lurch, luckily I managed to find some from another company who had them in stock and have sent them out next day for me so luckily I will get them after all.

I've had this before but from the Bicycle industry. It seems that companies don't mark them as 'out of stock' as the wholesaler will hold stock........its a bit sly but thats how they do it. Not a great way of running a business IMHO.

Sadly it is the standard these days... quite an easy way to run a business with very low overheads and absolutely no stock holding required. You can afford to be rude to customers as there will always be some other sucker comming along soon....
