Ultraleds response

We wouldn't normally respond but as we had an abusive email sending a link to this thread....

Here are our findings...

Customer purchased goods some months back
Customer asked if they could be returned and advised not (7 day returns policy in accordance with distance selling- not 14 days as someone has mentioned on here)
Customer returned the items anyway
Items received with no letter or returns authorization
Items checked and put into stock after a few days
Items refunded (as the staff member who received them didnt know what to do with them months later) Order of £8.40 and order of £6.19.

abusive anonymous email with a link to this thread received......

Terribly sorry chap. I stand corrected that indeed, the Regulations state within 7 working days of receipt of the goods. I know where I got 14 days from, but it was irrelevant, so I apologise.

Just as an aside though, for the retailer to get just those 7 days, you need to inform a customer, in 'durable medium', of that right. If you don't, (and we use the delivery note), a customer gets 3 months and Seven days to cancel the order! (Like I said, onerous piece of legislation)

Just in case anyone is wondering, I do not believe that this is anything to do with me.

However I did return my items (prior to any correspondence) with not one but two emails. The latter elicited the response to which I have referred before.

I have never sent an anonymous nor knowingly abusive email to anyone .

Its nice to know that in some instances, despite the anon and abusive email, they were able to make a refund.

It looks like Ultraleds owe you an apology......and probably a refund too.........

An interesting thread (and as it happens an interesting way of doing business)............

I am in the process of sourcing LED's for a major revamp of the boats 'lecky systems............

Guess where I will NOT be buying my LED's from ................ and all it would have taken was a simple "ooops, sorry about that folks, it must have been a bad batch".

Surely businesses (of any kind) can't afford to act in this manner. Go ahead be deviant in private, but in public bite your tongue and smile sweetly -or is that so hard to do?

Lets be clear about this. This thread is from years ago- we don't even supply these products anymore!

The last item on here is from someone who purchased some small parts and decided to send them back (not faulty) months later for a refund (which he got)

Perhaps a new thread would have been appropriate. we cant keep going over old ground......

IF it is me to whom you refer, perhaps you could let me know.....email me possibly? IF it is me..........? For I know not, as I write, of a refund?

LEDHUT maybe a better way to go...............?

www.ledhut.co.uk

Have now received some bulbs from LED HUT, very promptly and well packaged and have answered all questions to date. Wont be fitted for a day or two yet...
I'm no electrician, but the bulbs look a little different/more substantial to those from another supplier.

(I never did have the courtesy of any correspondence from UltraLed...they kept the returned goods and money)
