We plan next week to spend a couple of days in Poole Harbour on our way to the Scilly isle, there are a lot of stuff we can do but what would be the essential places to see, will also plan to do more in return later.

We’re looking at Studland, what’s the process for overnighting without being attacked by seahorses

A visit to RSPB Arne is good for a nice walk and cafe.
You can also anchor close by and dinghy ashore. Very sheltered spot for bad weather.

Pick up an ecco buoy or if shallow draft join the motor boats close in ! Quite a few boats anchor off north beach, to the north of the voluntary no anchor zone though this isn't always as sheltered as the main area covered by the ecco buoys.

What is your draft and can the boat take the ground without falling over ..

Loads to do depending on your preference. Best anchorages are west end of Brownsea, Arne, both of which have shore landings and South Deep. For fleshpots of Poole town then suggest Poole Yacht Club at the west end of the ferry terminal. 10 minute walk into town and avoids the noise and crush of the haven on the Quay. Tuesday night is bikes night if that interests you.
