We are anchored for a few days at Pottery Pier and need to get a new propane gas cylinder. Where is the best place to take the RIB and have only a short walk to a gas supplier?
Do you definitely mean propane, or just cooking gas generally (which is more likely to be butane)? Pete
Most calor gas dealers do propane. I swopped my blue ones to red propane as butane is useless in Winter.Propane, (red cylinders). We have an American cooker (as an aside, it not only uses the "wrong" gas, it won't make toast :grumpy.
Which is why I asked for advice because propane is harder to find than butane (blue cylinders) and I don't want to park the RIB and then walk miles with first an empty cylinder and then a full one.

Thanks, but it's Sunday.Calor depot is about 1.5 miles north from the quay. Why not call them on 01202 338070?
Good idea.Might you consider the option of a swappable GAZ regulator too ? I know Gaz is more expensive but a lot of cruising boats - and internationally travelling motorhome campers - keep both options available. Gaz came up with a marine use regulator a few years ago, would be a good idea for safety and insurance.
