Don't go!

You'll love it so much you'll want to waste good sailing time exploring the place!

George Taylor, the past editor of PBO retired there. Last time we were there we got invited to represent the raiding "English Pirates" in the annual "Fete des Lavoirs" - when the local river washing places get dressed with flowers and the locals get together for a grand barbecue and atrempt to drink the local cidre houses dry!

Good fishing in the river - a decade ago salmon escaped from a local fish farm and they have flourished in large numbers.

Great place, no problem with the draft but do keep to the outside of the bends. Try and spend a night at anchor under La Roches Jagu and visit the castle.

An all time favourite - just sad that we cant get the current boat anywhere near the place. Do book the steam train and take the ride to/from Paimpol - it's very pretty. Steam buffs from all over France come to ride the train, so you may need to book.

Chateau de la Roche Jagu is a very worthwhile outing as others have said. Last time we were there the mooring bouys just past the ben were a touch close to the edge of the channel. We spent a glorious night there - so peaceful - but to put a riding light out as the dredgers work all through the night (just passing, so no real disturbance)
