In fact, if you are using a liquid wax like 3m or Maguires Flagship etc, then it is just as quick to use a microfibre cloth on, and another off.
Harder waxes may need a bit more elbow, or machine.

I am a big 3M supporter but I like to use this as the final polishing coat.

I use the hand version (to reduce buffer marks), but Star-brite has also developed a Buffer version.
The boat remains shinning like new for all season and more.
