Dare I ask but has anybody ever run aground with a Pod drive be it IPS or Zeus.

Also I am looking to hear from anyone with 3 years experience of a pod drive boat....good and bad points. This is for an article in MBY.
Please contact me direct on gregory_copp@ipcmedia.com

I've worked on Volvo Ips drives for years now and aside from the early teething problems they seem to be very reliable. I've only once had to cut fishing net off of one which would have happened to shafts or outdrives.

I've never even seen a Zeus drive yet!

I have seen a video clip on YouTube where Volvo are testing the Ips drives capability of snapping off when grounded.
