I am looking for a berth for a 42ft boat in the Plymouth area if anyone has one that they are vacating for a period of time.Ideally I need something permanent but I would be happy to take a few months while waiting lists work through.

Any offers or suggestions would be appreciated.

I had a berth in Mayflower Marina for a couple of weeks last spring. It's miles from anywhere although there is a decent chandlers and good restaurant on site and excellent bathrooms as well as showers. We were only two berths away from the marina office but there was still a large swell at times caused by local ferries and big boys from Devonport. I hate to think what it is like on the outside pontoons.

We were in Mayflower for 2 seasons....you'll get a permanent berth there if you want one, but be careful...the swell is caused by the flow of the Tamar meeting the incoming tide and can run upto 3 knots in various berths (and in different directions depending on where you are in the marina, as it is in a "bowl").
Spring tides usually fall around 02:00hrs and the rolling if the Tamar is in flood can be horrible!!!

Good Hunting
