Hi, all my water seems to work from the same pump. The bathroom and kitchen work fine but the cockpit shower has stopped working. No response at all when I switch it on, yet all the other domestic water is fine. The handbook doesn't show any other pump, the fuses are fine and I couldn't find any blockage in the shower head. Any suggestions?
The shower is switched on by pushing the hot water mixing knob over to the on position

Most systems run on flow switches i.e. The pump pressures up so when an outlet opens it operates the flow switch and you get flow. If only 1 pump it's not being activated by that individual outlet as not detecting flow. Disconnect the shower to test. its either blocked at the head, trigger ,valve or possibly the rubber liner in the flex has collapsed.

I removed the shower head and still it would not work. I will try to see if the shower hose is obstructed tomorrow on the boat, however today I blew down the hose and there didn't appear to be any obstruction. I was wondering if it could be the mixer/onoff knob?

Hi ash, what are the symptoms? Does the pump go on but no water or does the pump not go on? I couldn't see a kink but I haven't taken it apart yet

Some systems use Microsoft has in the taps to control the pump. Try to see if there are wires going to any of the taps. In is not unusual for a switch to fail.

That is what I was wondering. I had a look at some taps in the chandlers today and couldn't see any wires but they didn't have the same kind. I'll check again tomorrow
 
+1 a kink in the shower outlet hose. It's easy done, try and get underneath the shower valve in the lazarette/engine bay and see if you can unravel it. There are no switches or software involved.
 
sorry missed your question - the only symptom usually is no water coming out. the supply pipes will already be pressurised by the water pump. So if water can't come out the shower the pump won't start up.

Thanks, a kinked/blocked hose does, by forum consensus, appear to be the most likely culprit. I didn't get to the boat today (had a lazy day) tomorrow morning I will get to it and report back.

Ok this is new to me, the model is MI3000 Shower Mixer Control it has a ceramic mixer cartridge
It doesn't say anything about thermostatic, how do I find out?
 
I want to thank everyone, I'm on the boat and i fixed the problem. Its far better to embarrass oneself on the forum than call the beneteau man out and watch him untwist a hose!
The actual plastic shower hose was ok but if you pull it right out it is connected to a flexible metallicised shiny hose, that lays flat when empty, it was that one that twisted.
