Years ago in PBO I remember a reader's tip which showed how to make a plug for the hauser pipe entrance in the deck which was formed around the chain. I think the plug was made in two halves (from resin I think) and then fitted around a link (or two links) a suitable distance fron the anchor. So when the anchor is stowed on the stemhead the plug is held in by the weight of the chain hanging down in the hause pipe. And the plug obviously lives on the chain.
I'd like to make such a plug but can't quite remember the method described and am not sure how to begin.
Has anyone tried this or can remember the original piece in PBO? It sems a good solution to the problem. Better than the J-Cloth I am using at the moment!
Or is there a better way?
