We have a nice plastimo clock which stopped working.
A replacement is around £150 .
I didn't fancy paying that , so what do you do when these clock stop and stripping g them down get you no where?
I bet many here know what I'm about to say :)
For them who don't buy a cheap clock ( £3 ) and just change the moving parts .
Job done .

And you can then use AA batteries instead of the strange and expensive one in my plastimo clock!

Not 100% certain about the workings of the Plastimo clock, but most of these clocks rely upon a small I.C. Clock chip, which is just a small metal cased chip with two wires, these do fail occasionally and are usually the reason for the clock failing, bt they are easy to replace if you are reasonably competent with a small soldering iron, and only cost a few pence each although you may find a minimum order of 10.

Additional information, thé chip is a 32.768KHz Crystal oscillator. Available from CPc or many other suppliers, it’s worth a try at only about £0.20 each.
