Noticed when removing genny from furling - that the top swivel caught on the lower extrusion joint ... looking closely - could see that one rivet appeared to be a bit proud .. obviously over the years - its now worked a bit loose ..
Mast is off boat and horizontal on decking .. so will drill out and when opening out joint - will hopefully be able to catch the inner parts of the rivets to prevent being lost inside and causing problem with forestay.
I would prefer if was self tappers - but it is what it is !!
