I am looking for a source of simple plastic/rubber bolt covers.

I have several on the boat which
a) are aesthetically better than bare exposed bolt ends
b) are a safety issue as they reduce potentila injury

but some are missing and try as I might with Screwfix, Screws direct, Screws and Bolts Indirect, I cannot find anything other than bolt head caps. (Hexagonal plastic caps)

Someone out there must know of a supplier who sells a bag of assorted sizes of these items which do exist.

Seascrew have some screw, nut and bolt covers (from the catalogue go to stainless fixings, special fixings, screw nut & bolt covers) but I don't see a mixed lucky bag of sizes.

Alan, Thanks for link, but still struggling to find anything other than hex bolt covers.

I want to cap the threaded part of the bolts excessive length.

Cheers

Sorry, should have read your mail better. You're correct these are just "head" covers. Couldn't you fit a nut on the exposed thread and then use a "head" cover ??

Alan.

Stainless Steel Dome Nuts - scroll about ½ way down the page.

On a previous boat there were many through coach roof bolts holding deck gear, winches etc. I cut off the excess bolt length and fitted stainless dome nuts - looked the part and no more cut scalps......

yep - I have been looking for some white ones for ages.

Baseline have some black ones, although not in the smaller sizes.

Will be interested if anyone finds some white ones.
