Planing boat test drive on the river

We bought our Sealine F37 from Penton Hook, Chertsey in 2007. Things have probably changed since then but we were able to do a 'sea trial' on the small open water adjacent to the marina (right about here -> https://www.google.fi/maps/@51.413743,-0.5054625,607m/data=!3m1!1e3).

There was just enough space to take the boat to the plane before throttling back. We did several runs back and forth. Not a proper sea trial of course but at least we got to see that the boat planed and accelerated in a satisfactory way.

I don't know if it is still allowed to do this but might be worth checking with Penton Hook?
