Hi All,

I'm going to visit Benbridge IOW tomorrow. Can any one recommend good eateries nearby? Preferably walkable but not too far (1 mile or so)

Thank you

Strongly recommend Gander's at St Helens. Walk over the causeway, up the hill and across the green. Family run and excellent value. Never been disappointed.

We were heading there today. But went to sparkes instead. Seems we've picked the wettest, windiest week to have off work.

Oh well.

Anyway we knew there was a nice restaurant at sparkes.
Except it is shut.

Looking forward to coming to bembridge later in the week.

Unless we get a taxi home.

If it was sunny you might see if Baywatch cafe is open which is on the Duver wall so has views across the channel into Bembridge. Otherwise up the hill in St Helens is Ganders as mentioned plus you might find food in the pub at top of green. In Bembridge itself a number of restaurants and pubs e.g. Crab and Lobster but it's a taxi from the Bembridge marina or you might even find the local sailing club BHYC is serving food . Have a look at Bembridge SC website as well to see what's on offer as there is sometimes a passenger ferry which runs across there from pontoons if you are lucky. Personally would book a table at Crab and Lobster and a taxi.
