Hello all, its me here. Once again, completely blown away by the interest, support and encouragement on the way. It really did make a huge difference, far more than perhaps you realise, so thank you everyone involved, whether it have been a simple word of encouragement, or a long winded discussion on the merits of whatever. Got back in on Thursday 5pm after a quick fuel stop at Ramsgate and many thanks to Roger for just beng there, for taking the ropes, putting up with the jibberings of a solo sailor, and, well, quite frankly, the smell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

There are many memories, many new friends made and that now completely fulfilled sense of achievement, it really is, and has been, quite something to have done.

I'm not going to do the long (and it is very long) roll call of those involved, save to say that any little chat, snippets of advice, or suggestions, comments, long. meduim, short or small, in the past 18 nonths or so, has been useful, and you know who you are, and I thank you for your input so much.

Someone who I will mention by name however is my brother Gary, who quite unknowingly, became my brick during both parts of the trip. It was my choice that we didn't have that many chats during the trip, but he will never know how good it was to talk, and his daily updates on the forum are what have kept this whole thing going, so a huge thanks Gary.

On the return leg, the AIS picked up "Atlantic Bridge" which was to pass to port quite close. "I know" he thought, "ask them to take a photo, give them an email address and ask them to email the photo and a postal address, and I will send something for their troubles"....."No problem" came the reply. To believe what happened next, you quite simply had to be there, however this is the result .................

.....and it may be difficult to make out, but he is now potentially overtaking ont the starboard side !
