Light winds in yesterday's report so only 51 miles today.

Sounds like he is "hitting the wall" - unpleasant conditions, not on top of his sleep. Hopefully he will get through it and conditions will improve. Thinking of you matey.

I have now found out that some info on the Jester website was wrong and that the challenge finish is at Vitoria on Terceira and not at Ponta Delgarda on San Miguel. All a bit academic (to us) with 900nm to go.

It's the swell. He's doing the same distance but now he has to go up and down as well as forward.

Phew! I was reading today about Cornet who has given up and turned for home, overcome by bad weather, tiredness and failed self-steering.

Been looking at the racetrack thingy on the Jester forum. Seems only to show the 2006 event or is just me? Glad to hear he's out of the big stuff for now.

Look in the top left hand column - it mentions the Jester Azores. Not all the boats are shown, but Alan is - a fair bit behind the 3 'leaders'.
