I currently have a pin mill mooring which is near the number 6 buoy. My neighbour is coming from the Woolverstone marina way and this seems faster. Is there a way to do this? Is there a public slip near there or how does it work?

Your neighbour may be a member of RHYC and launching there. MDL have a slipway and used to have dinghy storage, not sure if that it is still the case (the storage that is😏), but it is probably only for berthholders. There is no Public slipway there.
I used to moor my RHOD on one of Gus’s moorings just down from No 6 but kept my dinghy at the club. I also had a dinghy at Pin Mill, the idea being we could could walk down the lane from the cottage and go for a sail without driving to the club, but it was such a faff and after one occasion when I misread the tide table and we got back to the hard with the water about 10 feet from the end we didn’t bother again!

Thank you for the info. Can you launch from the yacht club in all tides? I was stuck last week trying to get onto the end of the slip at pin mill.
