Pilot guide for the Azores

Anyone recommend a good one? Sailing down coast of Spain and Portugal and on out to the Azores and back next summer and am looking for some good advice?

try atlantic islands-anne hemmick- adlard/coles i think. admiralty pilot has lots of imfo but very dry. jimmy cornells website-noonsite has imfomation under the countries section. bon voyage

I could be completely wrong (not the first time) but (IMHO, FWIW, FUBAR, SWMBO &c.) are they included in the "Atlantic Spain & Portugal" Pilot Book"?

You can't do better than Imray's Atlantic Islands by Anne Hammick latest edition published Sept 2004. (was there in June and July this year for nine weeks, go there, before the others ruin these Gardens of the Atlantic, quick, tell them I sent you, Peter will have a bar stool ready. If you dive as well make sure you go with Norburt. Give my love to Francesca at Horta. Damn, I've said too much, now everyone will go.)

the azores aren't very complicated, most islands have only one harbour/anchorage.

may is ideal. cornelladvises back before mid/late august. [ocean cruising routes].on return if heading for channel he advises heading north untill westeries encountered. living on west coast and seeing september weather for real i tend to agree with him
