Hi Stephen
How is that rebuild going? When do you hope to have Carlotta sailing again?
Not at St Mawes, but one of Mascotte and Cariad taken from the Marguerite at Milford Haven in May. A great days racing.

Nick and Melisa - Thanks for the link to your site and the report on the festivities. Congratulations on your 2nd place! I look forward to seeing the video footage you mention on your site. I will continue to follow your progress as your fine looking cutter goes together.
Jon - that is a fantastic photo - thanks for posting it. Was it just the three boats attending?
I might be able to get Carlotta sailing by next summer. That would be without an engine and with no interior. I just recently finished the cockpit and completed the final shaping of the new fashion piece/ archboard of the counter-stern. Next week are some big tides so she'll go onto the tidal grid for a scrub and paint job. After that the plan is to start the covering boards and lay the deck. Onwards we go!

Stephen it looks like you are doing a really good rebuild worthy of the vessel. Yes it was just the 3 BCPCs racing, but what a day, probably the best I have had crewing on the Marguerite. Looking forward to another one day with Carlotta as well. Keep it up!

This years review was in Fowey I believe. Though I've been out of the loop recently so I don't know the particulars of the event.
Whats all this about a collision? Which boats were involved?

There was a feeder race from Fowey back to St Mawes but the two main races were out of St Mawes again. The collision was between Marian and Hesper - just before the start on day 1... No major damage done and no-one hurt thank the lord. Follow the "(Nearly) Champions" link in our post above for more pictures and the full story...
