not least as they are 80% inspiration and only 20% directions. Otherwise many using a pilot book might only go to the big marinas - and miss gems like Glac Mhor.
I sort of agree with this, but honestly Navily has entirely taken over that for us and once we’re in the area the books almost always sit on the shelf.
I did buy the full set though, and for Ireland. Both sets now swapping out into storage as we head south having barely been used 🤣
 
I’ve nothing against Navily, and would agree that CCC directions are not “essential”, especially with Antares charts, but there is something really nice about being able to sit at a full size book and flick to a plan your possibilities. So it depends how literally we take essential, and given my children have redefined literally we might be going down a recursive rabbit hole!
