Moose is outside in the dinghy cleaning the side of the hull, I am stuck in the engine room (room sounds better than bay!!) Cleaning out the Raw Water filters and draining a bit of fuel from the Pre-filters. Now, I had just finished draining the mucky diesel out of the last filter when I knocked the container over, so there is now about 1litre of diesel sitting in the bilge. I pumped the diesel out with the oil extractor pump thingy and then thought the bilges were a bit grubby, So nip outside and get the hose to slosh a load of water around, Position hose into grubbiest bit of the bilge and turn tap, After about 15 seconds I started to brush all the muck down to one end so I could suck it out with the extractor thingy. DOH!! DOH!! Moose happens to be happily polishing the hull right outside the Outlets of the 2 bilge pumps Both of which fired up at the same time 1 pump is 1000gph and the other is 1500gph So you can imagine the screaming and shouting from outside when he is drenched with half a tonne of (very slightly)oily and very cold water!!!/forums/images/icons/cool.gif Wondering what all the fuss is about I nip outside to see the water rushing out the hull like a power hose straight into him and the sinking dinghy.
Somehow I managed to turn the hose off pretty quickly, and then keep a low profile for the rest of the day Until I washed my hands in the galley sink, and soaked him with the entire contents of yesterdays washing up water!!!! He is not a happy Moose, but I can't stop laughing!/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
