Pics of your boat

Re: Re: Photos of your boat

Only because I had been talking to Geoffs (the poster I replied too) about buying his 3.0l, but I ended up buying a 4.3 instead.

Oh- and its the only other picture of the boat I had uploaded to photobucket (from a question about the engine that I posted some time ago)

And yes I am proud of it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

But then If I still had a sticky boat I would be just as proud of my new kevlar sails/plotter/cockpit cushions etc etc

And its winter, so theres nothing else to do /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Photos of your boat

'cos they're our babies, the heart of our machines.

I know people that give 'em names.

Not sure I understand the likeness of dropping trousers in a room full of strangers, but if you want another picture.............

Nice picture, Duncan. I like the dual use of dinghy as sunshade.

Wassup, ashamed of your engine or summink!

Just to keep the thread going...

She's an Oyster Heritage 37, which surprisingly is 37 feet unless you measure her using MDL's new ruler in which case she's 38.7 feet

Re: Just to keep the thread going...

Since I didn't give it before, she's an Etap 30. Any guesses as to location (fairly easy)? No offers for the previous location yet, but probably got lost in the rush...

I don't mean this unkindly, but why do MoBo owners show pictures of their engines along with their boats? It's a bit like dropping your trousers in a room full of strangers /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

because they havent got what it takes or they consider there engine to be a symbol of verility

[/ QUOTE ]I regretted making my post, that prompted that, shortly after doing so, and after I could edit it. I was thinking 'nakedness' not 'virility' and it wasn't intended to be insulting but an observation about the differences in the way that raggies and stink-pots look at things...though that's not how it came across. It's like being at a dinner party when you say something that is embarrassing, but was not intended to be taken the way it was...and further comment makes it worse, so you say nothing more about it. Until now, when it re-surfaces days later and something needs to be said.

Aah no garage is complete without a couple of lengths of fire hose, but wheres the old milk crate with anti foul splashes on it? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Just to keep the thread going...

Nope, the first one is a tad too difficult for me. I have actually only spent 5 days cruising in Scotland (2 of which were spent in a wet, windy and cold Corpach lock with no heating /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif ) so I guess I just got lucky.

Got a trailboat again now so hoping to get back up there this year.
