I once recall Kim Hollamby being driven to near apoplexy by a Certain Forumite posting an answer to a number of elderly posts and then immediately deleting his response. For those using dateslip it meant that the post moved to the top of the tree again, with no visible indication as to why.

The offending poster, I seem to remember, was trying to make the point that the dateslip option was rubbish but later confessed to switching over to using it himself.

Who he? Well, although he is a moboer, he has recently been on an extended wind-powered outing.......

I think the culprit was a very very tall gentleman with a penchant for shellfish and crustaceans !! However the chief protagonist... and ex-date-slipper has indeed recently been taking wind [end of Forum Pedant]
