Dear Cruisers

You may have seen the stories about the four British yachtsmen missing in mid-Atlantic. *The skipper is my 22 year old nephew Andrew Bridge who I know to be an excellent and safe sailor - you may have heard me banging on about how well he is doing. *Obviously, we are all desperately worried about him and other crew members and hoping against hope that they had time to get into their liferaft. *As Sir Robin Knox-Johnstone said on the lunchtime news today, given their training and experience it is probable they did.

We strongly believe the US coastguard have called off the search a bit early and it is worth - again I quote Sir R.K-J, 'one more pass' in what is now slightly better weather to see if they are out there in a liferaft. *There is an online petition urging William Hague and the U.S. government to search.*

The petition has gathered over 18.000 signatures in less than a day but needs another 6,000 before it can be considered. *I would be truly grateful if you could join in.
