Perspex washboards

We took out wooden one from Amber to a local plastics man advertising in PBO. 2 hours later collected a finished job which included moving all the fittings over (locking mechanism and ventilator). It cost about £130 and was completely painless....

I got some acrylic for my windows from sign makers. Pleased with moderate cost. Dunno if they stock thick enough for washboards though. I reckon if you take in a pattern they would put it through the bandsaw or whatever for you.

Not at all sure I would even consider perspex, not very strong, not very safe, breaks with sharp edges.

Lexan will take a lot more to break but care would still be needed.

Avagoodweekend......

The chap whose workshop backs onto the cafe on the Whitehall Industrial Estate in Colchester is very good and cheap. I expect that's who it was. He's also a sailor, which helps.
