Hi there

We've bought what we think is a late 60s early 70s dutch motor cruiser 37ft by 12ft which has been left for years forgotten about and we are currently restoring it.

We would love to find out the history and make of this boat but dont even know its name. The only name we have on the back is what we presume is the port of origin which is s' Gravenhage.

We do however have the twin perkin engine numbers. Is there a register anywhere we can possibly look at to find the details of what kind of boat these engines were put into and hopefully the name of the boat itself.

Many thanks

My boat had part 1 registry. The engine part only had hp, type and manufacturers address.
I managed to track down what vehicle my engine came from but can't think of any registry that would hold any information that you seek.

There’s various Perkins engine numbering guides around - here’s one . We have two M135s, NA, from the 90’s.

Had a pair of those.
Proper diesels big , lazy and ultra reliable and not an electronic gizmo anywhere. 130HP from 6 litres, painted a relaxing shade of Blue . Designed life 10,000 hours.

Not that a overstressed fragile Green buzzbox with more rubber belts, electro magnetic clutches and dodgy PCBs than a chinese knock off computor factory would ever have any problems. :)

Post a pic of them I will know what they are as I worked at a dealer

Take a photo of an engine and go to a Massey Ferguson Tractor Dealer, they will probably have any Perkins Engine parts you need as Perkins were fitted in all the MF Range,
