Perkins 4107 which oil

Hi I have a Perkins 4107 diesel 36 Hp engine in my boat. It is directly cooled and runs at about 90-100F. what engine oil would you recommend I use.

My Workshop manual quotes :

-18 C to -1 C sae 10 or if not avalable sae 10/30

-1 C to +27 C sae 15/50

over +27 C sae 20/50

It quotes a myriad of brand names and types .... Shell Rimula X, Duckhams Hypergrade, BP Vanellus M, etc.

My engine has just been sorted by a local diesel engineer and he put in a Marine grade 10-40 ... he reckoned that any traditional non-synthetic 10-40 was fine for my raw-water cooled 4-107 ... Baltic summers of mid 20's C
